Named to reflect the variety of
European traditions that inspire it,
Cyrkus is a broadly inclusive learning
environment that extends circus
practice to merge arts and sciences
through physical activity, accessible
technology, and stylized performance.
Movements of the body fuel a rich,

integrated knowledge base involving
writing, history, engineering, design,
physics, images, music, maths, and
more. Computers augment the
effort — not just as "information and
communication technologies" but as
media for inquiry and creative
self-expression. Video, sensors, and

programming tools enable new learning
strategies and new awarenesses of
space, time, and learning itself.
Participants will evolve an
intergenerational, international culture
as they "move their bodies, stretch
their minds" and grow their knowledge.
